Recent Updates to the DB1 Reports

Adam Matthew is a counter compliant vendor and in order to retain this status, our counter reporting tool is audited on an annual basis. As a result of the 2012 audit some alterations to the Database "DB1" report have been made to ensure our continued compliancy with the COUNTER Code of Practice (Journals and Databases: Release 3). The changes are highlighted below for your information:

  1. Where all database searches were listed then followed by all database sessions, these are now grouped by database.
  2. Groups of database searches and sessions now have a dividing line between
  3. "searches run" is now listed as "total searches run"
  4. "sessions" is now listed as "total sessions"
  5. The Code of Practice also requires that both "searches federated and automated" and "sessions federated and automated" are included in the reports even when federated searching across collections is not provided. Consequently, both 'federated and automated' report rows will show zeros for all databases in Adam Matthew counter reports.
