Publication of Renowned American History Archive Completed
American History, 1493-1945 is now complete - providing teachers and researchers with access to thousands of exceptionally high-quality digital primary source documents from the renowned Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, New York - one of the most important archives on American history in existence.
Spanning over four hundred years, and particularly strong on the Revolutionary and Civil War periods, American History includes c.60,000 letters, diaries, maps, pamphlets, printed books, newspapers, photographs and ephemera.
The publication today of Module II: Civil War, Reconstruction and the Modern Era, spanning the years 1860-1945, completes this essential digital resource for academic teaching and research.
