On-going Access to Adam Matthew Collections

Dear Adam Matthew Customer

Following our recent announcement, we would like to take this opportunity to clarify the following points from your institution's agreement(s) with us for licensing of online products.

Should you have any questions or concerns about these points, please raise them with your usual contact or our customer services team:info@amdigital.co.uk

  • You are allowed to download, retain, store and use the content from the products you have purchased.
  • Adam Matthew products are offered with free hosting services for the first five-years of your licence term at which point we request payment of a hosting fee (previously called a 'renewal' or 'hosting renewal fee'). *see note*
  • If you wish to continue accessing and using the product from the Adam Matthew platform after the initial five year hosting term (or subsequent five year terms), you will need to pay a hosting fee for each five year period. *see note*
  • If you choose not to continue accessing the content using hosting from the Adam Matthew platform you are allowed to use a locally hosted copy of the product (Licensed Materials).
  • To enable the production of a locally hosted copy you are allowed to request that we supply you with one (1) set of the entire digital metadata that constitutes the product (e.g. XML, PDF images, text files, XML schema, etc). If requesting your metadata set please allow at least 60 day's notice before hosting renewal is due.
  • We have a dark archive agreement with Portico (www.portico.org/digital-preservation), which means that access to the content for customers who have purchased it is secure in any event.

*NOTE* All institution-specific variations to these arrangements are unchanged by this notice.

If you would like to discuss the possibility of annual hosting renewal payments, please contact us: info@amdigital.co.uk
