Library Sales Manager, Account Development - Ref AM9514

An exciting opportunity to join the team of talented and motivated professionals who are champions of engaged scholarship and creators of innovative and award-winning primary source collections for the arts and humanities.

Adam Matthew is currently seeking a Library Sales Manager, Account Development in the US to be located in a major metropolitan city. This role will be responsible for increasing US customer base for Adam Matthew products and revenue in North American libraries. This role is also expected to proactively identify sales opportunities and contact prospective customers, and utilize effective consultative selling skills to follow up marketing efforts. Additionally, it is expected for this position to support end-users and faculty experts with advanced product knowledge, as well as support field sales team with customer follow-up and campaigns at existing customers. This position has an inside sales focus with occasional in-person visits.

Desired Skills and Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in the humanities field from an accredited university
  • Minimum two years’ experience selling with a successful track record
  • Proven experience of academic background in the Arts and Humanities
  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written – ensuring our customers receive a positive experience with and image of the company 
  • Experience of Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Preferred:

  • Working experience using CRM systems. 
  • Experience of presenting and product demonstration. 
  • Awareness of digital library resources, and an ability to learn and sustain advanced Adam Matthew product knowledge.
