Originally joining Adam Matthew Digital in 2012 as an Editorial Assistant, I have worked on the production of a huge range of primary source collections, having the opportunity to delve into topics as diverse as Indigenous histories, missionary studies and the global imperialist phenomenon of World’s Fairs. As Head of Editorial Production, I oversee all new product releases ensuring we deliver the rigour and quality that Adam Matthew Digital is known for.
The supportive and collaborative nature of our relationships with archive and library partners is key to allowing us to craft ambitious collections that fulfil a range of research needs and is a strong focus of my team. With the support of suppliers around the world, we create solutions that suit the unique needs of collections, from conservation and digitisation processes to presentation and discoverability. The leaps in technical development year on year are one aspect that makes this role so exciting. I work closely with our Technical team to drive innovation and support the needs of customers and the digital humanities community, from presenting fully searchable handwritten manuscripts to accessible visualisations of historical data.
The opportunity to contribute to the conservation and dissemination of historical sources is a great privilege, and working with our passionate team is a daily pleasure.
